By the way, Happy New Year.

So, how was your Christmas?

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

I would have posted earlier, but Christmas was somewhat tiresome for me. Well, speaking of Christmas, did anyone get what they wanted? For me, I received something that I wasn’t expecting at all. Actually, I received some nice gift; my little sister gave me a gift card from Omer DeSerres and I got the X-Men movies trilogy from my friend Jim.

However, the greatest gift came from my parents, my older sister and my brother-in-law. Usually, I hate posting pictures of myself, but I wanted you to see how happy I was to receive the best gift ever. Here I go:

OMGBESTGIFTEVER!!

They gave me a PlayStation 3! A goddamn PS3! I was expecting a Wii, but that PlayStation 3 has been a huge surprise to me. Seriously, that’s the best give I ever have since my Barbie‘s dollhouse. That picture shows only a small fraction of my reaction and I guess someone is regretting of not filming it instead. I was the happiest girl in the world. I really wanted a PS3, but I thought it was too expensive for a Christmas gift. It was awesome.

For the games, my brother-in-law gave me Batman: Arkham Asylum and I’ve bought Borderlands yesterday. These are very great games, I would recommend them for anyone who own (or want to own) a PS3. As for the Wii I wanted to have, I’m planning of buying (a probably of second hand) one during the year to come. They may have lots of shitty games but there are also a few good ones. Well, that would be all for today. End of line.

Chart time!

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

I’ve compiled all the video games I own and made a pie chart out of it.

The most games I own is for the Atari 2600, counting thirty-seven cartridges and the less I own is for the Atari 7800, counting only one cartridge. I’ve created this chart with Open Office Calc. If you want to see the complete list of all my games titles, just go here. What should I compile next? Music? Movies? Maybe both. End of line.

My week in video games.

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

This week, I’ve made new acquisitions for my gaming needs, here’s some of them:

10 Atari 2600 games for $10.

I’ve bought these ten games for only $10. It was a really great deal. I’ve got: Space Attack, Astroblast, Swordquest, Kangaroo, Dolphin, Super Breakout, River Raid, Maze Craze, Jr. Pac-Man and Star Raiders (which I already owned). It’s too bad that Super Breakout and Swordquest doesn’t properly work.

Since my friend Matt was accompanying me, he decided to get me both my birthday and Christmas gift.

My birthay gift.

I never much played Final Fantasy in my life, but I was looking forward to own a good Nintendo DS game. Nintendo has been deceiving me pretty much these past years. Final Fantasy III is the 11th DS title I own to this day.

My Christmas gift.

Receiving The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX as a (early) Christmas gift couldn’t be more great. I wanted this game since it came out, like, ten years ago. Thanks to my GameBoy Advance SP, there’s no need to buy a GameBoy Color to play this game.

Well, that was all for this week, see you later. End of line.

I turned 24.

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

I turned 24, this week, on December 3. It was a crazy week, on December 2 we learned that Maya, my older sister’s 4 years old Bernese Mountain dog, has developed a very bad form of Cancer and she doesn’t have much to live. This saddened me a lot; I love that dog. Then, on December 3, as we were celebrating my birthday, my sister called to tell us that she was pregnant! I’m gonna be an aunt!! Therefore, those were bad news followed by good ones. It was a weird birthday.

Now, let’s get back to my birthday. We celebrated it with the yummiest cake ever:

Pink frosting with colored stars. Because I’m a girl, of course!

As a gift, I received something I’ve been wanting for a while: a new desk chair. Finally!

What’s on the chair?

If you’re wondering what is on the chair, it’s none other than a copy of Super Mario 64 that my uncle and aunt gave me.

I wanted this one since forever!

Actually, we used to own that game until my sister decided to take our Nintendo 64 as her complete property and store it in the back of a closet at her flat. Then, I had to buy my own gaming console and I couldn’t stop arguing with her that I should own our cartridge of Super Mario 64, but she didn’t want to give it to me. C’mon, she’s not even playing any video games. How can you own a gaming console and not using it? She’s only doing that to be selfish toward me. Well, thanks to my uncle and aunt for finding me a copy of that game. I’ll never forget their kindness.

Finally, that would be all for now. This was me updating my blog from my new desk chair. End of line.
