Writing about me has never been my forte, but let’s give a try. I was born in the glorious year of 1985 as the second kid of a three children family. I grew up among Barbie™ dolls, VHS tapes and vinyl records. My favorite childhood TV shows were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tiny Toons and Rescue Rangers. As a kid, I was into dinosaurs, outer space and I wanted to marry Superman. In school, I was a bit of an outcast, because I didn’t really share the same interests as everyone else. In fact, I thought the Beatles were cooler than the Backstreet Boys and I was right! My cult movies was the Star Wars trilogy, these movie had a great impact on my life and turned me into a huge sci-fi fan. As I was growing up, I became a fan of many sci-fi shows including Star Trek, Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits and Space Pirate Captain Harlock.
As for video games, I wasn’t a big player. The truth is that my father didn’t really allow them under our roof. All I had was an old ColecoVision that a friend of the family gave us. I played a lot on that console. In fact, I was still playing it when they announced the Nintendo 64. Then one day it stopped working. Assuming that it was broken, my mom threw it away… without even telling me! I still didn’t forgive her for what she did. I told her that the day I’ll manage to re-buy all the game I had on my first Coleco; I would officially forgive her. Anyway, I also owned a Super Nintendo that my former neighbour sold us… after he had enough of me knocking at his door every Saturday morning asking if I can play Super Mario World.
When my father started to collect old toys and records, the collecting bug bite me as well and I started doing it as well. I’m now collecting gaming consoles, toys and comics book. Finally, my love for all things retro motivated me to create this website. Now, I’ve actually hit a wall and I don’t know what else to write. I’ll hope you’ll appreciate this not-so-great attempt as a bio. End of line.
